This policy explains what information Trevor Hanson and Caleb Pinegar, doing business as Unsplode (“Unsplode,” “we,” “us”), collect through unsplode.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you enter it to unlock your assessment result.
- Your assessment answers and result, such as which quiz you took, the answer you chose for each question, and the result type you received. These answers are self-reported and general. Please don’t enter details about specific medical conditions or account numbers anywhere on this site.
- Basic usage data, collected automatically by our website host and analytics tools, such as pages visited, browser type, device type, approximate location based on IP address, and referring website. This may involve cookies or similar technologies.
- Messages you send us, if you contact us by email.
How we use it
- To email you your assessment result and recommended chapters.
- To send you occasional updates about the book, Unsplode content, and related programs. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To understand how visitors use the site and improve it.
- To respond to your messages.
- To keep the site secure and prevent misuse.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your personal information.
- We don’t use your quiz answers to give you individual medical, financial, investment, or tax advice. The assessment is a self-reflection tool, not a professional evaluation.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the site and send email: GoDaddy, which hosts the site and our email, and Phoenix SEO, which designs and maintains the site. They may use it only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if Unsplode is reorganized or sold.
Links to other websites
Our buy buttons link to retailers such as Amazon, Bookshop.org, and Barnes & Noble. Some of these are affiliate links (see “Affiliate links” below). Those sites have their own privacy policies, and we don’t control what they collect.

Some links to book retailers may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Cookies and analytics
Our host and analytics tools may set cookies to measure traffic and site performance. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work without them.
Email choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also email us at hello@unsplode.com to be removed.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and quiz result while you’re subscribed, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@unsplode.com with your request. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law, and we will honor requests made under those laws.
Children
This site is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information. No website is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
